as well as collecting shots of anything i deem artistic on the walls around bristol, i’ve started to collect shots of local mural work. the difference between the two appears to be one based mostly on style, yet they both interact with the local community.

this mural runs along a platform at stapleton road railway station
easton seems to have a lot of community mural work around, especially along st marks road, on the bridge on st marks road, and up st marks avenue [a rather grand name for dog shit alley]. this work becomes part of the local landscape, a familiar site on your home patch, while other pieces form part of the transient nature of local tagging.
