my diss is nothing to do with the festival, which was wonderful, but with my own failed attempts to cover the graffiti action over the weekend. over 30 artists hit the site, covering boards, bins and vans with wonderful work, especially rowdy and sweet toof who did some fab stuff. even considered letting them loose on my boring grey toyota…

sickboy produced a life-size temple that you could walk into and imbibe the atmosphere [my sister-in-law said it smelt of cow poo]… motorboy pasted up a collection of posters on a popeye theme, promptly added to by rowdy… fluid and mark 2 collaborated on a great piece… even lucy mclauchlan graced us with a fab character-full piece with beat 13…

elsewhere the likes of feek and sepr produced boards for the kids area and photo opps [i know, i know - WHERE'S THE PHOTO!!!]

anyway, now i’ll have to wait until photos go up on the shambala website before i can remind myself how good it was. and that’s the problem, shambala festival is too good! bristol decamps to the hills for a wicked time at the most eclectic festie about. too much to see and enjoy.
